Development Research and Training (DRT) in collaboration with Development Initiatives (DI) will discuss the finds of a one-year study on the impact of citizen generated data that was conducted in Kenya and Uganda.
The study, supported by Making All Voices Count (MAVC), shows that citizen generated data projects are more likely to lead to improvements in service delivery and also influence policy as well.
The findings will be discussed in a breakfast meeting at Piato Restaurant on Lumumba Avenue, on Friday 31st March 2017, starting at 8.00 am. The meeting will close at 11.00 am.
DRT and DI hope the findings and the discussions at this event will be a start for promoting the role of citizen generated data in influencing nation policy and service delivery; and will feed into the process of designing follow up research as recommended by the report.
