The year 2016 was a unique year for DRT because we managed to achieve the two main ways through which success for non-profit organisations like DRT is measured.

First, DRT once again managed to pick pace and completed all activities we had planned to do. Secondly, through good work, DRT managed to convince its partners to support it by providing us with the means to accomplish our mission, which is to influence pro-poor policies and programmes that are responsive to the needs of the chronically poor through research, policy analysis and capacity building.

Credit goes to all of you who have supported us to overcome the challenges we have experienced in the year.

Under our four thematic areas, we participated in a series of activities – ranging from undertaking action-research on selected topics, to building technical and institutional capacity of local NGOs to strengthen their programming and engagement on pro poor development interventions.
