(Open Development). Bernard is a development professional with a 9 -year long career spanning Media, Health, Research and Policy Analysis. An expert in ethnographic research and a former journalist, he is currently leading DRT’s work on Open Development. This means he is the point person on Open Data, Open Government, and other transparency initiatives. He leads DRT’s strategy to align its work onto the SDGs and other new realities in the global Development Agenda. Bernard’s experience includes designing and conducting large Qualitative research assignments and writing research reports, Background, Thinking and Policy papers. Bernard’s experience in field research and familiarity with rural, national and regional contexts on a host of issues routed in his background as a journalist has enabled him to build networks across the country and the region on development issues.
